Neymar Set for Showdown against Montpellier on StarTimes

-

Startimes Nigeria will continue to thrill its subscribers with scintillating live matches as this weekend brings to the screen of its teeming subscribers live match of Ligue 1 league at Parc des Princes Stadium today, by 5pm African time on StarTimes World Football (Channel 254 and 245).

Today, the league leaders, Paris Saint German with 56 points from 22 games will be battle it out with 7th placed Montpellier who have gathered 31 points from 22 games to extend their lead on the table.

After a rare Ligue 1 loss over the weekend to Lyon, PSG will look to turn around and seek a bit of retribution against poor Montpellier. The visitors are likely to find themselves in the wrong place at the wrong time. PSG Coach, Unai Emery will be without defensive midfielder Thiago Motta due to injury for this match while the status of Brazilian attacker Neymar also remains up in the air.

Last weekend in the loss to Lyon, defensive frailties showed through for the Parisians. And on Wednesday, they also did when they conceded two different penalties.

Seventh placed Montpellier will be encouraged not only by their recent form but also their ability to score goals as shown in the win on Wednesday. For the second game in less than a week, they got a goal from Salomon Sambia to help carry them on to victory. Along with Giovanni Sio, they are a tough team to corral and will cause issues for PSG's sometimes fragile back line

PSG extended their lead at the top of Ligue 1 to nine points with victory over reigning champions Monaco with goals from Edison Cavani and Neymar before Monaco’s Joao Moutinho pulled a goal back for Monaco which was not enough to earn them a point.

According to the Brands and Marketing Director, StarTimes, Mr. Qasim Elegbede, “The live telecast of these matches reflect the firm's commitment to provide the best sporting action to its subscribers at very affordable cost.
