WAPTV Channel Upgrades Output to HD
Over the past few days, viewers across Nigeria have been commending the greatly improved audio-visual quality of wapTV, as the popular 24hour family entertainment satellite television channel is now noticeably one of the sharpest TV channels in Nigeria. This is in terms of picture and sound clarity, due to an upgrade of its production and broadcast equipment to transmit crystal-clear High Definition (HD) output which commenced on Monday, 15th January .this year.
This technical upgrade includes an improvement of wapTV’s Video Frame Size from 720 x 576 to 1920 x 1080, Video Bitrate from 15,000 to 80,000 Kbps CBR, Aspect Ratio from 4 x 3 to 16 x 9, and other enhancements; and it is already having positive impact in viewers’ enjoyment of wapTV’s wide range of content suitable for the whole family; including Latest and Classic Nigerian Movies (various languages), Short Comedy Skits, TV Dramas, Music Videos, Comedy Series, Children’s Shows, Sports, Cooking, Telenovelas, Documentaries, Cartoons, Talk Shows, Religion, Health, Tourism, Fashion, Reality Shows, Live Celebrity Interviews, Events, Entertainment News etc.
