Security regulators, industry profession­als, safety advocates and business leaders are expected at the two day-conference on June 7 and 8, at Civic Centre Victoria Island, Lagos. Some of the billed speakers include Director-General, Lag os State Safety Commission, Hakeem Dick son; Senator, Kan o-central R. N Kw an kw a so, and Group Head Flour Mills, Health Safety Environmen­tal Sustainabi­lity, R. Georgios. The governor of Lagos State, Akin wu mi Ambode and his deputy, Oluranti Adebule will also grace the summit. According to the or ga ni se rs, the summit is dedicated to enlighteni­ng corporate bodies and individual­s on the need to embrace whole some safety practices, in accordance with the right standards of guiding policies. Buttressin­g on the import of the conference, Hakeem Dickson stated :" In a society burgeoning with human demands and industrial needs, the time has come to shore up longevity and productivi­ty, by taking occupation­al safety and health seriously ."
