Call Me By Your Name

The Mavivive Group Of Fashion Brands (MGFB) first Cruise collective collection, was birth from the same titled book and latterly adapted movie “call me by your name” which was staged in the 80’s northern Italy with a very su summer and vacation aesthetic. This col collection gives a nod to the traditio tional safari trips in Africa with its sub subtle color pallets, loose silhouette an and sparkling elements in shades of Go Gold, Silver and multi colors and in for forms of textures through manual stu studding, threadings and sequins.

T This cruise showcase, staged at A White Space Creative Agency had its set decorated by Papa Oyeyemi with various notably foreign fruits like Apple, pear, plum, grapes etc building a fruit shelf runway background, photo-booth mix fruit bar, trays of fruits filtering the room as lay offs, fruits dispatch on all seats and an invitation with a zip locked note and fruits summed up the experience.

The models walked down in three shows, opening with a single shot, less art but focus on the clothing, walking to a custom Cruise self titled song written and performed by Shola Devon and Produced by Jynio, then followed by performanc­es by the models in groups of one, twos and threes, proclaimin­g love, Romeo and Juliet type of love, self love, polyamory, polyandry and equalsex-same-sex love affairs, with LOVE is LOVE as a ticket to cruise to Paula Moore’s Valparaiso. The final walk featured the models, the collaborat­ors and some MGFB staffs that helped putting the show together and of course the main man himself, Papa Oyeyemi grabbing an apple at the end of the runway while jamming to Pet Shop Boys’ Go West to wrap up the show. FOUNDER || CREATIVE Papa Oyeyemi designed a capsule of three looks for the Launch of Bo Young Creatives (BOYC), a crystal ball of undergroun­d creatives through young creatives with the hashtag # WEBOYC. The collection was inspired by a 2017 film written by James Ivory, based on the 2007 novel of the same name by Andre Aciman, ‘’Call Me by Your Name’’, staged in Northern Italy in the early Photograph­y: by Kosol Onwudinjor
