Auditor-General’ s Office Becomes AC CA‘ Approved Employer’
The Officer of the Auditor General of the Federation (OAUGF) enlisted as an ‘Approved Employer’ of the Association of Chartered Certified Accountants (ACCA).
The ACCA disclosed this in a statement yesterday. The ACCA Approved Employer Programme is a platform for partnership which is designed to recognise employers who place high value on the professional development of staff, particularly in its finance function.
ACCA explained that it remains open to collaborate with organisations “on this platform to provide support in building staff capacity, recruit the best talent and maximise global research and insights which may be jointly carried out among other things.”
The statement noted that while the professional development of ACCA members working at the OAUGF was a key focus during the process of
application and appraisal, t e benefits of collaborating with ACCA on this platform would be to deliver on benefits to finance professionals from across diverse professional bodies who work at the OAUGF.
According to the Head of Training at the OAUGF, Mr Ishmael Agan, “This means a lot to us as an office. We see it as one of the international approvals and recognitions for our staff development programmes.
“We look forward to taking advantage of the many benefits this partnership will bring to bear on our staff.
“The Office of the AuditorGeneral for the Federation is going through significant reforms to enable the Office deliver better on its constitutional mandate.” “The recognition of the Office as an approved employer by the ACCA will encourage good candidates to join the office and will improve the audit talent pool. It is a great step in the right direction, and I’m sure the office will work hard to deepen its relationship with the ACCA,” Ayodeji Ogunyemi said.
