Bola Shagaya is 59...Shelves Birthday Plans
From banking to oil and gas and politics, Hajia Bola Muinat Shagaya has become the high watermark by which her contemporaries are measured. She is ruler of her world who is not bound by a time clock, yet she does not abuse the privilege. Her journey to entrepreneurial success and acclaim started very early in life. As young adult, she aspired to greatness and self-actualization, driven by the belief that a man’s reach should always exceed his grasp. She reached for the moon, knowing that if her grasp missed its cusp, her hands may land on the stars. And her hands indeed landed on the stars. Very early in life, she attained entrepreneurial acclaim for her inspiring exploits in the business world—you could be forgiven for imagining that she was shepherded by an unrelenting innate alter ego that persistently counselled her that where strength fails, boldness at least will deserve praise. Hence her inexorable dash for the summit of achievement in her business endeavours.
Folks who are familiar with her beginnings and ascent in the business world earnestly attest to her industry. She worked hard to attain her current status and she is far removed from the contemporary alpha female stereotype that glorifies flamboyance, selfaggrandizement and narcissism above substance. However, Hajia Shagaya, would clock 59, Wednesday, October 10th. However, unlike the past couple of years, there would be no elaborate celebrations to mark the day. She has reportedly instructed her inner circle that there would be no party. Another source said she is planning big for her 60th birthday next year. Though, it was good year for Hajia Shagaya as her two sons, Seun and Kabir got married. However, Hajia Shagaya is the founder and CEO of Bolmus Group International, a diversified Nigerian conglomerate with interests in oil, real estate, banking, communications and photography while the real estate development arm of the group builds and owns dozens of luxury residential properties in some of Nigeria’s priciest neighbourhoods.
