I’m Living My Dreams, Acting Was All I Wanted
Nollywood director and film producer, Oluwafunke Abidemi Etti, has many movies to her credit. Being a breed between the old and new generation of the Yoruba movie industry, the delectable actress knows the pains and gains of the industry. For instance, having seen many veterans die poor, she has mitigated this by having a dual profession. In this interview with Chinedu Ibeabuchi, she sheds light on her career, husband, fashion and her retirement plans
At the stage you are now in the industry, would you say you are now living your dreams? What do you feel deep down you, a star or star-in-themaking?
Yes! I am living my dreams because this is what I really wanted to do from outset. I would say my fans and movie buffs who appreciate my acting prowess see me as a star. We grow every day, so I believe I will grow bigger than this. My goal is to become the number one in this my chosen career.
You are hardly seen in English Nolly wood movies. Why? Well it’s because I hardly get calls to feature in English speaking segment of the Nollywood, although I have featured in about two English speaking productions. If invitation comes from that segment, why not?
Why do you have a passion for ex posing sensitive parts of your body? It’s what the script says that I will do. The role I am given to play determines how I will interpret it
Can you act nude? Nope! Nope!! Nope!!!
How do you manage several male admire rs especially those who want to see beyond the sexy wears?
There is always a borderline between acting and reality. So, I respectfully deal with them as they are part of my fans and accord them the respect they deserve.
I am grateful to God that they respect my opinion too because I usually open up to such people that I have my man.
Being an actor should not make me wayward and how many of my admirers will I give such chances to? I have never dated a male admirer and I will never because I love my man.
He loves me too and he respect my profession.
How many movies have you featured insofar? Do I really keep an account of such? But we’ll say over 500.
