Bloombreed, Archdeacon Brown Top Loya Swimming Meet

-

Bloombreed High School and Archdeacon Brown Education Centre, both of Port Harcourt have emerged top winners of the Rivers State edition of Loya Milk Swim Meet Season 3 which held in Port Harcourt recently.

Bloombreed, which hosted the inter-school swimming contest, put up a tough fight to pick three gold, two silvers and a bronze medal while its closest rival, Archdeacon Brown won two gold, two silvers and a bronze medal. Archdeacon Brown beat Bloombreed to the coveted 100 metres relay for boys, a feat some officials said may have dwarfed the extra gold medal received by the latter.

Laurels Model College and Brookstone School also won medals in the events entered for by 10 Port Harcourt-based schools. The schools included GoldSpring High School and Holy Cross International School.

Others were Emmy Norberton International School, Hopespring Foundation School, Montessori International School, Seal Model School and Tender Heart Academy. The yearly inter-school competition is sponsored by Loya Milk, the premium brand of Promasidor Nigeria Limited.

The competition was officiated by members of the Nigeria Aquatics Federation.
