Ebony Hospitals’ DCMD, Dr Linda Ekwen’s International Recognition
Today, her name rings very loud as a medical practitioner. Her forte is in obstetrics and gynecology. Interestingly, Dr. Linda Christianah Ekwem, Deputy Chief Medical Director, Ebony Hospitals Limited, Port Harcourt, Rivers State, has done a lot in the area of women health; and she has won numerous awards for her efforts at home and abroad.
Quite commendably, her profile recently received a major boost when the prestigious Royal College of Obstetrics and Gynecology, United Kingdom and Ireland, RCOG, honoured her for her works in the area of pregnancy, particularly from pre-conception to post-pregnancy.
It was a moment of great joy for Dr. Ekwem and her darling husband and partner, Dr. Innocent Chi Ekwem, when she was recently honoured with the prestigious Fellowship of the Royal College in London.
At the event held at the Royal College Hall in Regent Park, London, Dr. Ekwem was presented with the Certificate of Awards by Prof. Lesley Regan, President of the RCOG, who is also the Head of Department of Obstetrics and Gynecology of Imperial College Healthcare NHS Trust London.
The award of the fellowship is a mark of senior status that implies a continued contribution to the specialty of Obstetrics and Gynecology and the maintenance of standards and practice.
Dr. Linda Ekwem and her hubby are two talented doctors whose 50-bed Ebony Hospital remains one of the best referral hospitals near the shores of the Gulf of Guinea and the Atlantic Ocean in Port Harcourt, River State.
