Communication Outfit Uses Crowd Sourcing to Aggregate Donation to NGOs, IPDs

As Information Technology (IT) continues to drive every facet of human endeavors, Wow Effect Communications, under Giving Hand Initiatives, has created a platform to aggregate donation of unwanted household materials from any part of the nation to various established Non-governmental Organisation registered with relevant authorities in the country.

Speaking to journalists at the donation of materials to some NGOs inLagos over the week- end, Managing Director, Wow Effect Communications, Popoola Williams, said that, as an IT firm they are committed to providing solutions to filled the gap in social service delivery in Nigeria through Information and Communication Technology (ICT). While stressing that logistics still remains a key area to moving the gift items to where they are needed. Williams said that Giving Hand Initiatives is a social impact project that provides an easy and transparent way for people to donate unwanted, but useful things to others. He added that the initiative improves lives by providing critically needed resources including clothing, non-perishable foods, shoes, books, home appliances and toys to the under privileged in the society while also contributing to a healthier environment.
