Kindness, as a trait, is inborn. It is running in the veins of Omooba Dotun Babayemi. In the last six years, he has touched the lives of no fewer than 200,000 residents of Irewole/Ayedaade/Isokan Federal Constituency of Osun State. Soon afterwards , he extended the gesture to cover the entire 10 local government areas that make up Osun West Senatorial district. Babayemi is always there for his people when they are in a dire need of his intervention.

“Alafia Dotun”, Babayemi provides an annual free mobile hospital, with full mass body index and diagnostic review, accompanied by medical doctors whose responsibility is to provide free medication with a special focus on diabetes management, infection treatments and high blood remedies.

Babayemi has so far distributed thousands of medicated glasses, after eye checks and surgeries for thousands of residents in 24 locations spread across the 10 local governments in Osun West Senatorial district.

His other projects include annual visits to all the 110 wards in the senatorial area during Ramadan and Christmas to share gifts to commemorate the spirit of the seasons; provision of scholarships to well over 400 indigent students in various tertiary institutions in the country.

In February, 2018 alone, no fewer than 220 Osun West constituents benefitted from his free glaucoma and cataract surgeries at Eye Foundation Hospital, Ijebu-Mushin, Ogun State, while an average of 220 secondary students in SS2 that were preparing for WAEC/NECO benefitted from a five-week summer coaching programme in 22 centres spread across the 10 local governments within the senatorial district.

In pursuit of his senatorial ticket ambition, Babayemi, who is the ADP candidate for Osun West, has pledged to provide a quality representation by sponsoring bills that will focus on the improvement of the quality of life of his people.

As part of his commitment to the provision of quality education, he has promised to lobby for the siting of at least two federal tertiary institutions in his senatorial district. Dotun also plans to attract agricultural supply chain investment to support both cash and food crops growers in the senatorial district.
