- Peter Uzoho

With a total of N79 million already given out in the Fidelity Bank Plc’s ‘Get Alert in Millions’ promo season three, the bank has disclosed that another N31 million is left to be won in the coming months as the promo winds down. The Managing Director, Fidelity Bank Plc, Mr. Nnamdi Okonkwo, stated this at the prize presentation ceremony held at the Computer Village, Lagos yesterday, where five winners of the fifth monthly draw for Lagos zone received their cash and consolation prizes.

The Lagos winners included: Mr Chidozie Ifeanyi, N2 million; Miss Chinyere Chima, N1million; Kingsley Nkwocha, Generator; Oluwatosin David, Refrigerator; and Willian Idi, Television set.

Okonnkwo, who was represented at the occasion by the Executive Director, Shared Services and Products, Mrs Chijioke Ugochukwu, said same prize presentation took place simultaneously in all the bank’s locations across the country.

He said: “Twelve cash winners emerged in the fifth draw and 18 consolation prizes. Two new millionaires will join the rank of the 60 millionaires.

“Similar presentation will go on in all our locations across the country. We will still be able to have 17 more millionaires emerge before this promo closes.

“N79 million has been given out so far and N31 million is still remaining. And inside the N31 million that is remaining, a grand prize winner of N10 million will emerge at the end of the promo.” Okonkwo, however, stressed that they were doing all that to reward their customers who have remained loyal to them and also encourage saving culture among Nigerians. Speaking after receiving his cash prize of N2 million, one of the winners, Mr. Chidozie Ifeanyi of Aguda Branch said: “I was surprised when they called me and said I won two million naira. I thought they were scammers but it turned out to be real. I thank Fidelity Bank for keeping to their words. I encourage people to take advantage of this promo.” Ifeanyi, who sells telecoms and allied accessories said the money would be very useful to him, adding: “I’m an Igbo man, so I know what to use the money for. I will rent another shop, fill it with goods, pay my house rent and take care of my family.”

Also, the winner of N1 million and student of Lagos State Polytechnic, Miss Chinyere Chima, said: “Now, I will not be disturbing my parents for school fees. Textbooks and stuff like that. I will be doing all that by myself. I thank Fidelity Bank for this opportunity and I advise others to try and open an account with Fidelity and try their luck.”
