Golden Boy: Pastor Femi Faseru Plans High-Octane 50th Birthday
Pastor Femi Faseru, the national superintendent of KICC Nigeria is over the moon at the moment. The resident pastor of Kingsway International Christian Centre, Maryland, Lagos would be 50 next month. On Saturday May 25, 2019 at the KICC Prayer Dome, Mende, Maryland, there will be a big celebration in his honour.
Femifash, as the respected man of God is fondly called by admirers, is the man entrusted with the onerous task of running the Nigerian operations of KICC by the President/Senior Pastor of KICC, Pastor Mathew Ashimolowo. And it is a responsibility he carries out with vim and vigour, earning plaudits for his stellar work in growing KICC to a force to reckon with in the Christian community.
A graduate of botany from the Obafemi Awolowo University, Pastor Faseru obtained a master’s in computer science and further certification in software quality assurance in the United Kingdom. Not long after his road to Damascus moment, he floated an IT firm, first in the UK, and later in Lagos, but not before doing consulting work for the likes of GlaxoSmithKline, Bank of Boston and Mediasurface.
Under divine leading and the urging of KICC senior pastor, Mathew Ashimolowo, Pastor Faseru jumped into the Lord’s Vineyard and became quickly known for his dedication and his calm way of going about things. This earned him a promotion as he became the face of KICC in Lagos, regularly gracing television screens and sharing his inspired thoughts with audiences locally and internationally.
The celebrated father of three is putting finishing touches to preparations in anticipation of his diamond jubilee. Interestingly, his wife of many years, Sade, who has been by his side for so many years turned 50 last month. True to form, the man of God spared no expense as he treated her to a surprise birthday party in Legends Hotel, Ikeja.
So popular is Pastor Femifash among the KICC faithful that some have already dubbed him the heir apparent to Pastor Mathew. But the unassuming deacon isn’t thinking about such things. He has many times shouted to the rooftops about his gratefulness for the chance to serve and how he is focused on carrying out the task entrusted to him with utmost dedication.
