Fun, Glitz, As Akpabio’s Wife, Ekaette Unoma Celebrates
In politics, Senator Godswill Akpabio has made a name for himself. As a a two-term governor of Akwa Ibom State and now a serving senator, he has proved to all that he understands the game of politics like the back of his hand.
But it would be wrong to assume that his forte lies only in politics.
Those close to him say he is also very romantic. Indeed, he recently showcased his romantic side when his turned a year older on June 9.
Fondly called Eka Esit Mbom, the beautiful woman was celebrated to high heavens on the occasion by the respected senator and the invited guests.
the Akpabios only threw a low-key birthday shindig in honour of the woman of substance at their Abuja home. It was witnessed by family members and a couple of friends.
To her, celebrating one’s birthday is essential, but helping others, especially the less privileged, is more important.
Her abiding philosophy is that wealth is given by God to whom He pleases, and whatever is given to you but for others.
Her pet project, Family Life Enhancement Programme (FLEP), has been a channel of joy for the less privileged and the down-trodden. She has given hope to indigent students, widows, the homeless, traders, the sick, among others.
She, however, detests any form of noise-making about herself or her philanthropic gestures; she doesn’t blow her trumpet, despite all she has achieved in that aspect.
She is described as a pillar of support to her husband in his political loved and respected among her people, family and friends.
