The summit featured three sessions in all, with robust discussion from the panelists which included Counsel, SubSaharan Africa, Uber, Mr. Adeniran Haastrup, Mr. Adeleke Alex-Adedipe of Duale, Ovia & Alex-Adedipe (“The Firm”), Managing Director, Oradian, Mr. Moses Sule, Founder, Riby, Mr. Abolore Salami, Head, Enterprise Innovation Hub of the Nigerian Stock Exchange, Mr. Nsikak John, Operations and Human Resources Expert, Mrs. Oluwaseun Alley, and Founder, Publiseer, Mr. Chidi Nwaogu.

The panelists shared insights on how to leverage on innovation and technology, to being adequately prepared for the techdriven future, with the sole aim of addressing the digital transforma­tion in business, and how it can be the key to economic developmen­t in Africa.

Other topics considered in the sessions are, ‘Transformi­ng Disruption into Opportunit­ies: The Critical Role of Regulators’; and ‘Cash and the Digital Age: The Legal Implicatio­ns of Blockchain, AI and Smart Contracts’.

Mrs. Toyin Anjous-Ademuyiwa, Director, Creativity & Innovation, Office of Transforma­tion, Creativity and Innovation delivered the Keynote address.

Anjous-Ademuyiwa said the public service is one of the oldest institutio­ns the world, adding that, it is traditiona­lly bureaucrat­ic and hierarchic­al in nature.

Represente­d by Abdur-Rahman Lekki, she noted that, institutio­n requires winning strategies from time to time to align with present day reality for creativity, innovation and improved service delivery.

“The Office of Transforma­tion, Creativity and Innovation, is focused on its role in this regard”, she added.
