THISDAY

SOMETHING ABOUT MY FRIEND, AL-MUSTAPHA

-

He is not my friend o. Na just topic to grab your attention. He can never be my friend. The stories we have heard about him still leave me shaking with fear. The man was something else and he came out of all that to come and contest for election, see the beauty of democracy? If na during him time, I write this kind thing, I would be having my testicles for breakfast literally. But today, we have democracy and we can talk at least almost freely. So every time, we get alert from his former master, he will come out and be talking one kind talk that will be making me to be asking what is going on here. Ohhh Abacha did not steal, Abacha left trillions in the coffers, Abacha is the best thing that ever happened to the country. Yet the alerts will be coming from all parts of the world. Countries we do not have visa to visit, countries you will not see Igbo trader shop and you know those kind country no reach three for all this world. My friend Robert Okpara decided to be his running mate and asked me for support. I actually organised an Afang summit to

listen to what he had to say. As he spoke that day, he was sweating. You know when you finally at 50 catch a young 20-year-old and want to do Olympic marathon there. You know the way you will be sweating and the veins will be coming out of your neck and your eyes will be bulging that was what I saw that day. Okpara was in labour after the talk, I just tap am for back, I say my brother come make we go find work. This one is dead on arrival. My brother Al-Mustapha, if you read this, I greet you. Make we just let sleeping dogs lie and face other things. Life is really too short, let’s try and enjoy the rest of it. Thank you.
