Call for Removal of Service Chiefs Unjust – Steve Eboh

- King Akan

Veteran Nollywood actor and producer, Steve Eboh (popularly known as Ajebo), has described the call for the removal of service chiefs as unjust.

This is against the backdrop of the Nigerian House of Representatives calling on all the Military Service Chiefs to resign or be fired by President Muhammadu Buhari if they fail to do so.

Eboh, who has first hand experience working with the Nigerian Army at the field of the theater command in Maiduguri, during the shooting of his latest movie titled ‘Operation Last Dance' stated this recently in Abuja during an interactive session with journalists.

According to Eboh, a former National President of the Actors Guild of Nigeria (AGN), “the Nigerian Army, led by Lt.

General Tukur Buratai is doing its best to stamp out the insurgents, and anybody that is calling for their removal is only an unpatriotic Nigerian and armchair critic.

“In my opinion, Nigerians should appreciate the efforts of the Nigerian military in their quest to stamp out insurgency in the country.

"During the shooting of my movie, I was opportune to spend time with the commander and several other members of the command, I can tell you that the level of patriotism, commitment and professionalism I observed in them is out of this world."

Eboh went further to describe the Chief of Army Staff (COAS), Lt. Gen. Buratai as the "most effective" Chief of Army Staff in Nigerian history.

‘Operation Last Dance’ which is an advocacy movie, was shot in several locations in the North; Jaji, Kaduna, Maiduguri, Abuja and is billed to be launched later in the year.
