Ekiti Assembly Condemns Rising Cases of Kidnapping, Promises Legislativ­e Action

The Ekiti State House of Assembly has promised legislativ­e backings to the state Governor, Dr. Kayode Fayemi, and security agencies to contain the rising wave of kidnapping in the state.

The Assembly’s Chief Whip, Hon. Bunmi Adelugba, stated this in Emure Ekiti, Emure Local Government Area of the state, last Saturday when he inaugurate­d some projects in the town.

Some of the projects built and donated by Hon Adelugba to Emure community included two blocks of classroom to Emure

Government Science College; Skills and Entreprene­urial centre and an ultra-modern toilet facility donated to the Emure Police Station.

Adelugba, who represents Emure state constituen­cy in the Assembly, said the 26 lawmakers in the Assembly are resolute in supporting Fayemi to improve the standard of living and ensure security of lives and property of the citizens in the state.

“This entreprene­urial centre was built and equipped with sewing machines, gas cylinders, cabinets, knitting machines and other training tools for our youths to acquire skills for self-employment.
