Bauchi FRSC Deploys 533 Personnel to Ensure Accident-free Sallah
The Bauchi State Command of the Federal Roads Safety Commission (FRSC) has deployed a total of 533 personnel in the state to ensure free flow of traffic during the Eid-El Kabir celebrations.

Abdullahi, made the disclosure last Saturday while briefing journalists on the preparations of the Corps toward ensuring an accident-free celebration.
He explained that for the special operations during the festivities period, the Command would deploy 20 operations vans, 10 ambulances, 10 recovery/towing vans and one help area/road side clinic on the Bauchi-Alkaleri road to take care of the ever busy Bauchi-Gombe road.
According to the sector commander, the programmes to be undertaken during the period include traffic control, aggressive public enlightenment, radio and television talk shows and subtle enforcement.
Other activities, according to him, are breathalyzer/alcohol test, installation of red flags on the highway at some identified RTC prone locations as well as other programmes that will ensure that accidents are minimised during the programmes to ensure a safe celebration.
He disclosed that the toll-free numbers to call in the case of emergency are FRSC: 122 and National Emergency: 112, which he said remain active, requesting road users to call them in case of emergency.
The FRSC sector commander also advised commercial drivers to as much as possible avoid overloading, over-speeding, and driving under the influence of alcohol just as he urged them to make sure that their vehicles are roadworthy.
