Deputy Minority Leader Congratulates Mbah, Commends Executive Orders

The Deputy Minority Leader of the House of Representatives, Hon. Toby Okechukwu, has joined other well-meaning Nigerians in congratulating the Governor of Enugu State, Dr. Peter Mbah, and his deputy, Ifeanyi Ossai, on their inauguration.

He said that by signing three Executive Orders on the day of his inauguration, the governor had demonstrated that he came prepared.

The lawmaker, who represents Aninri/Awgu/Oji River Federal Constituency, stated these in his congratulatory letter to Mbah on his inauguration as the governor of Enugu State.

“He said: “On behalf of my family and constituents, I congratulate you and your deputy, Barr. Ifeanyi Ossai, on your inauguration.

“I am elated at the promises your administration holds for our state. Having crisscrossed the 68 development Centres of Enugu State during the campaigns, you have a total picture of the environment, geography, beauty, and challenges.

“It is therefore, time for the lion to roar and meet these expectations. In doing so, we have no doubt that you will ensure that the economy and the people of Enugu State will be the ultimate beneficiaries.”

Commending the Executive Orders, Okechukwu said: “I commend in particular your sense of urgency in not only effectively assuming office on the day of your inauguration, but equally issuing three Executive Orders on the same day, namely, Executive Order 001 2023 for the Development of Citizens’ Charter, Executive Order 002 for the Removal of Unauthorised Street Barriers Across the State within 100 Days; and Executive Order 003 for the Promotion of Economic Growth through Transparency and Efficiency in Government.
