StarTimes, Kartoon Channel Inspire Learning in Primary Schools

-

StarTimes and Kartoon Channel, the family entertainment destination that delivers enduring childhood moments of humour, adventure and discovery, have partnered to gift educational materials to pupils in selected schools across Nigeria.

The initiative, part of the children’s day celebration and Kartoon Channel!’s launch on StarTimes platform, is aimed at making children happy and encouraging them to watch educational and entertaining content on Kartoon Channel!

Kartoon Channel has exciting kid’s content such as Stan Lee’s Superhero Kindergarten, Rainbow Rangers, Thomas Edison’s Secret Lab and Llama Llama. The channel also airs family-friendly movies at weekends, such as Stan Lee’s Mighty 7, Ella Bella Bingo, Toys & Pets and Boonie Bears.

Kartoon channel! shows have no violence, no negative stereotypes, and no inappropriate language. They are designed to spark imagination and creativity in children of all ages.

StarTimes team visited the schools and distributed branded school bags and water bottles to the pupils, based on pupils’ needs. The team also interacted with the pupils and teachers, and introduced them to the exciting programs on Kartoon Channel!

The pupils expressed gratitude to StarTimes and Kartoon Channel! for the gesture and promised to tune in to Kartoon Channel! on StarTimes channel 304/357.

The teachers also commended StarTimes and Kartoon Channel! for their social responsibility and commitment to providing all Nigerians quality and affordable digital TV service and family entertainment.

Lazarus Ibeabuchi, Public Relations Manager of StarTimes Nigeria, said: “We are delighted to partner with Kartoon Channel! to gift school bags and water bottles to these lovely pupils. We believe every child deserves access to digital TV and educational content that can inspire them to learn and grow. As we mark this year’s children’s day, we want to share the joy with our kids and give back to the society that has supported us over the years.”
