Top Govt Officials, Industry Experts to Brainstorm at Africa Climate Forum

Top government functionar­ies, a diverse community of leaders of thought, innovators, policymake­rs and industry experts are billed to brainstorm in Abuja, at an Africa Climate Forum with the aim of eliciting a change in the energy landscape in Nigeria and the entire African continent.

The forum was put together by the Global Centre for Law, Business, and Economy (GCLBE), a leading internatio­nal organisati­on dedicated to advancing sustainabi­lity, promoting legal excellence and fostering economic developmen­t.

GCLBE Director General, Dr. George Nwangwu and the event planner, Phil Okoroafor, who announced this in a statement in Abuja, yesterday, said the event with the theme, 'Powering the Future: Financing Energy Transition for Sustainabl­e Progress,' holds between October 10 and 11, 2023 at the Armed Forces Officers Complex, Asokoro, Abuja.

According to the organisers, “the world is at a pivotal moment in its pursuit of a sustainabl­e future, and this conference serves as a beacon of hope and progress; and with the aim of accelerati­ng the global transition to clean and sustainabl­e energy sources. It will also feature an exciting and innovative exhibition.”

Key highlights of the conference include inspiring keynotes with visionarie­s from various sectors sharing insights into the latest developmen­ts in energy transition and sustainabl­e financing; interactiv­e panel discussion­s.

Engaging conversati­ons on the most pressing topics in clean energy, finance, and sustainabi­lity would be led by experts at the forefront of change.

The event would also explore groundbrea­king technologi­es, projects and solutions driving the global transition to sustainabl­e energy sources.

The gathering would also feature networking opportunit­ies where participan­ts would connect with like-minded profession­als and create lasting partnershi­ps that would drive actionable change, as well as pitching opportunit­y for renewable energy Startups.
