‘SGOF, NCAT partnership timely’
The Surveyor General of the Federation (SGOF), Surveyor E. B. Awudu, has said that the collaboration with the Nigerian College of Aviation Technology (NCAT) is coming up at a right time
The Surveyor General, who said this Wednesday in his office, Abuja, when the team of the NCAT paid him a visit, said that the field of survey applies to every sector of the Nation’s economy.
The spokesman of the OSGOF, Mrs G.A. O. Okeke quoted Awudu in a statement as saying that the further steps the college sought for the collaboration is a bold step and re-affirm that both the OSGOF and the organization have always enjoy good relationship.
He said that the college has assisted them in manpower development by giving training to some of the personnel of the OSGOF and solicited for more training for the staffs of OSGOF.
He said that the office of the SGOF is the apex mapping agency in the nation saddled with the statutory role of providing geopartial needs of this country and beyond.
“My office is a data centre with high capacity to transmit all over the country”. He added that the office is already collaborating with the armed forces and other Security outfit and are ready to collaborate with more,” Awudu said.
Speaking earlier, the team leader/Rector of the college, NCAT, Captain Abdul-Salami Mohammed, who said his office seek for further collaboration on NIG-VFR (visual flight Rules), thanked the SGOF and his management for their support and good relationship since the collaboration began.
