Muslim rights group declares Nigerian legislators ‘immature’

The Muslim Rights Concern (MURIC) has accused some senators and members of the House of Representatives of political absurdity.

The group was responding to the rowdy session of the joint sitting of the Senate and the House of Representatives during the presentation of the 2019 budget by President Muhammadu Buhari.

In a release yesterday signed by Professor Ishaq Akintola, the Director of the right group, said the attitude of the lawmakers was “Infantile, pedestrian and ludicrous.”

The president was booed by some lawmakers while he was presenting the 2019 appropriation.
