What to do with rapists

It was reported within the week that a 20 year-old-mechanic, Sunday Adeyemi and an 18 yearold furniture maker, Michael Jonathan, appeared before an Ikeja Chief Magistrates’ Court for allegedly gangraping a teenage girl after luring her. The prosecution said they covered her mouth to prevent people from hearing her screams, tore her clothes and took turn on her. To me, if stiffer laws are made on this crime, it would stem the tide, and it is because the law seems to be lenient that people indulge in it.
