Push for Digital Transactions

SOHAR INTERNATIONAL & OMANTEL BRING E-PAYMENTS TO CARREFOUR THROUGH EFLOOS

Being industry leaders in innovation and in line with their commitment to provide customers with more value, Sohar International with a vision to become a world leading Omani Service company, along with the Sultanate’s first and leading telecommunication services provider – Omantel announced their partnership with Carrefour which is operated in Oman by Majid Al Futtaim.

The agreement was signed to offer e- payment services in Oman through eFloos - an easy to pay facility that was launched recently through a tieup between Sohar International and Omantel. Carrefour will start offering eFloos payments to its customers at its hypermarket in City Centre Muscat, with plans to roll out the facility across all its stores in Oman.

The agreement was signed by Khalil Al Hedaifi, Chief Retail Banking Officer representing Sohar International and Najib Haddad, Country Manager of Carrefour Oman at Majid Al Futtaim Retail, at Carrefour Oman’s head offices. The signing ceremony was attended by senior officials from the two organizations as well as Omantel, a strategic partner in the platform.

A designated team from Omantel is made readily available at Carrefour City Centre Muscat to educate customers on eFloos as well as assist them in the process of registering and using the new digital payment platform.
