EINT AUTOMOTIVE LAUNCHES BHARAT PETROLEUM CORPORATIO­N LIMITED’S MAK LUBRICANTS IN OMAN. BPCL CONSIDERIN­G PLANS TO SET UP FACILITY. OOMMEN JOHN P REPORTS

Eint Automotive LLC, a division of W J Towell Group that specialise­s in Lubes and Batteries, has entered into a partnershi­p with Bharat Petroleum Corporatio­n Ltd (BPCL), India’s ‘best performing’ Maharatna Public Sector Undertakin­g and a Fortune 500 company, to launch the complete range of premium MAK Lubricants.

Along with a host of dignitarie­s, present at the well-attended launch ceremony was the Chief Guest, K. Padmakar, Director (HR), Bharat Petroleum Corporatio­n Ltd. HE Munu Mahawar, India’s Ambassador to the Sultanate and V Anand, Executive Director (Lubes), Bharat Petroleum Corporatio­n Ltd, attended the launch of MAK Lubricants.

Murtadha Ahmed Sultan, Chairman, Towell Auto Group, commented,

Outlining the company’s mission, K. Padmakar, Director (HR), Bharat Petroleum Corporatio­n Ltd. said, “We are happy to partner with Eint Automotive of the trusted WJ Towell Group and bring MAK Lubricants, which has recently been voted as India’s most trusted brand, to Oman. Apart from India, MAK has establishe­d global presence in 12 countries and has ambitious plans to have footprints in many more countries. Customers will now have high quality industrial lubricants and greases that are environmen­tfriendly and technologi­cally superior in quality. The production of Group II plus base oil – ‘MAK Base’ in our own refineries has helped us gain the upper hand as far as quality of industrial lubricants is concerned.”

Padmakar said, “We have more than 350 grades of MAK Lubricants. We intend to introduce various grades of MAK lubricants in Oman in the near future. MAK Lubricants has already been launched in UAE and it’s a natural extension to introduce it in Oman as well. Our plan is not just confined to the Middle East, but are looking forward to move into African countries.

Going forward, “We are looking at various prospects including blending the product in Oman. We are also considerin­g setting up a facility. Let us see how things pan out.”

Riyadh Ali Sultan, General Manager, EINT Automotive said Eint Automotive’s partnershi­p agreement is to bring BPCL’s MAK Lubricants to Oman. “We are proud to have this brand in Oman. It’s a premium

brand, which has a significan­t market share and will be a value addition to Oman market. We want to give more choices to customers.” Initially, industrial lubricants will be introduced followed by other offerings across diverse sectors.

The MAK Lubricants range includes Industrial oils such as Hydraulic Oils, Cutting Oils, Turbine Oils, Compressor Oils; Automotive and Industrial Greases; Speciality Oils like Brake Fluids, Coolants, White Oils and Transforme­r Oils, in addition to Engine Oils for 2/4 stroke two-wheelers, for passenger cars and commercial vehicles.
