FOTON BRAND VALUE EXCEEDS $19.7 BILLION IN 2019
With a brand value of $ 19.7 bn, Foton has been ranked 34 in the world in the list of 500 ‘Most Valuable Chinese Brands’ released by World Brand Lab (WBL). As the number one vehicle in the commercial market, it ranks fourth in China’s auto industry.
In Oman, Gulf Great Sands LLC has been partnering with Foton Motor Group, one of the world’s largest manufacturer of commercial vehicles, to offer a full range of sturdy and reliable Foton vehicles in Oman since early 2019. Through this exclusive distribution partnership, Gulf Great Sands supplies a range of Foton’s commercial vehicles in Oman including the Foton Aumark – Light Duty Truck. The other Foton launched in Oman includes Heavy Duty Trucks, Medium Duty Trucks, Light Duty Trucks, Pickups, Mini buses, Panel vans, and SUVs.

A global automotive legend with an extensive history, world-class rankings and impressive jointventures with internationally reputed companies, Foton has successfully positioned itself as a comprehensive commercial vehicle manufacturer. Gulf Great Sands LLC (GGS) is a part of the Bahwan International Group Holding Company (BIGH), an exclusive distributor for many reputed international automotive brands in Oman.

By working closely with ZF, it aims to bring more added value to its global customers. To combat environmental pollutions, Foton has been upgrading its fossil-fuel powered vehicles and developing new energy vehicles.
ACHIEVEMENTS GALORE
A recipient of Technologically Innovative Enterprise Award, Foton received China’s first permit for the operation of autonomous commercial vehicle in 2018. In April 2019,
Foton signed a strategic cooperation agreement with Huawei, aiming to take fully advantage of 5G in the commercial vehicle industry. In May, 2019, Foton’s internet-connected truck passed a public trial operation, fully demonstrating its ingenuity and huge market potentials. At Shanghai International Automobile Exhibition, it launched a new energy vehicle brand Zhilan, which is scheduled to start production soon.
Having established nine subsidiaries, Foton has made its way to over 110 countries and regions. Since 2010, it has been rolling out more localised products for its global customers. So far, it has already become a leading commercial vehicle brand in Philippines, Vietnam, Peru, etc.
As of 2018, Foton’s export volume reached 556,000 units. In 34
