Experiences and elements that make moments extraordinary are increasingly included on the agenda of many individuals, especially the affluent millennials. Material possessions may not lose its charm among these clienteles but the demand for experiences has seen a steady rise. Travel remains one of the most soughtafter experiences. Dining is yet another experience that features prominently on the must-do lists of many. For those looking for a sensory experience, London’s Sheraton Grand London Park Lane has the perfect offering that appeals all the five senses.

The Art Deco hotel in Mayfair has launched an experience that is nothing like the ordinary, with London’s first-ever Five Senses Suite. Working with a Behavioural Scientist and Psychologist, the renowned landmark has introduced an array of items and experiences in its Grand Suite, which have been found to be conducive to a happy state, marked by an increased release of endorphins. The Five Senses Suite is the perfect escape for GCC travelers this summer.

The three-layered research (questionnaire, facial coding and heart rate monitoring) revealed the soothing sound of Jazz made 3 out of 4 respondents feel happy and positive, whilst soft, fluffy towels ignited feelings of contentment in an impressive 98% of respondents. Other findings showed that the colour green was one of the most smile-inducing sights, with an image of flowers making almost three quarters of people (72%) report feeling content. Bubbles and fresh fruit encouraged the highest release of endorphins during a taste test, and when it comes to smell, the fresh scent

Sheraton Grand London Park Lane has unveiled the first Five Senses Suite which has been created to appeal to sight, sound, smell, taste and touch, to encourage the release of “happy hormones” in its guests. Here is what to expect at London’s renowned landmark
