South Korea honours supervisor of His Majesty the Sultan's website
Seoul, Korea - Hamoud al Azri, general supervisor of His Majesty Sultan Qaboos bin Said's personal website, has been honoured by the South Korean government.
The project presents the great personality of His Majesty the Sultan to the outside world in 30 universal languages, as the first website among head of states, stated a press release.
The Korean government prepared a visit for Azri who is taking care of this national project as an appreciation and also honoured him through the Korean Embassy in Muscat, as Oman and Korea are enjoying an excellent long relationship, added the release.
The appreciation programme was prepared by the foreign ministry of South Korea, and Azri visited many government institutions and met some government officials. They included Hong Jin Wook, deputy director general – African Eastern Affairs.
Azri also visited the Omani embassy in Seoul and met H E Mohammed al Harthy, Oman’s Ambassador to South Korea.
The Korean and Arabic Society was another place he visited during his meeting with the secretary general Kim Jin who introduced the society's goals and discussed how His Majesty the Sultan's personal website in Korean language can play a role to achieve them.
Azri also visited the main office of Samsung and some museums, the War Memorial of Korea, a traditional house village and the Seoul Tower.
At the end of the visit Azri expressed his thanks to the Government of South Korea and the Korean Embassy in Muscat for arranging an unforgettable visit for him.
