Alfa Romeo Stelvio Quadrifoglio honoured at 2018 Wheels Car of The Year Awards
Alfa Romeo continues to win prestigious international and regional awards, the latest of which saw the Stelvio Quadrifoglio - the brand’s first SUV in over a century of Alfa Romeo history - being named ‘Best Super SUV’ in the 2018 Wheels Magazine Car of The Year Awards held at the Waldorf Astoria Hotel on The Palm, Jumeirah in Dubai.

The second of a new generation of vehicles built on an allnew platform, the 2018 Stelvio epitomises Alfa Romeo’s la meccanica delle emozioni (the mechanics of emotion) spirit, delivering race-inspired performance, real-world driving confidence, state-of-the-art technologies, seductive Italian style and a thrilling driving experience to the premium mid-size SUV segment.
Its all-aluminium 2.9l V6 biturbo petrol engine delivers a class-leading 510hp and 600Nm of torque, reaches a top speed of 283kmph and accelerates from 0 to 100kmph in just 3.8 seconds.
Crafted by Alfa Romeo artisans at the Cassino plant in Italy, the all-new 2018 Stelvio line-up is a testament to Alfa Romeo’s perfect balance of engineering and emotion, creating an SUV for driving enthusiasts that really stands out. The interior is tailored like an exquisite bespoke suit, with craftsmanship and premium materials - carbon fibre, leather and Alcantara.
The award-winning Stelvio bears the legendary Quadrifoglio badge, which certifies its quality in terms of class-topping performance, handling and weight/power ratio, specific external and internal features, exclusive powerplant and a genuine Alfa Romeo sound; it also recently set a new lap record for its class on the iconic Nürburgring: 7 minutes 51.7 seconds.
