Mandhari to meet Balushi in final
Muscat - Haitham al Mandhari will take on Muhannad al Balushi in the men's final of the Oman Table Tennis Championship after both the paddlers won their respective semifinal matches on Saturday.
In the semifinals played at the Sultan Qaboos Sports Complex, Mandhari beat Asad al Raisi 3-0 while Balushi defeated Ayman al Farsi 3-0.
Mandhari is in line for a double as he also secured a place in the final of U21 category where he meets Nasser al Balushi for the title.
According to Oman Table Tennis Committee (OTTC), both the finals will be played along with the Oman Table Tennis Championship for teams in September.
Meanwhile, Raisi defeated Farsi 3-0 to clinch the third place in the men's category.
Al Julanada al Kharousi defeated Abdullah al Jabri 3-0 to finish third in the U21 category.
A total of 48 players took part in the championship.
