Workshop trains participants in calculating cost of national campaign for non-communicable diseases
The National Committee for Non-Communicable Diseases in cooperation with the World Health Organization (WHO) held a workshop at Holiday Inn, Al Khuwayr on Wednesday.
Held under the patronage of H E Dr Ali bin Talib al Hinai, Undersecretary for Planning Affairs in the Ministry of Health, the workshop trained participants on calculating the estimated cost of the national plan for non-com- municable diseases.
The estimated cost of the plan will be discussed with the competent authorities for the effective implementation of the campaign.
The workshop saw participation of 60 people from the main committee of non-communicable diseases, the multi-sectoral operational plan teams, in addition to a number of government agencies.
Dr Ismat Azzam, an expert from WHO too, attended the workshop.
