Mwasalat announces launch of express taxi feature on its app

Muscat - Mwasalat has announced the launch of an add-on feature on its mobile application that will offer customers a fast pay service.

The service is part of the company’s efforts to boost the taxi sector in Oman employing modern technology.

The service, first-of-its-kind in Oman facilitates booking of taxis in advance without the need to call the driver.

In addition, the customer can get an update of the expected time of arrival and driver details through this new feature on the mobile application.

A number of vehicles have been equipped with this fast service feature.

In the first stage, the service will be available in Qurm, Al Mouj Golf Club, Muscat Hills and Beach One building areas.

The service will be expanded later to cover various other government agencies, private institutions and commercial centres if the demand for the feature increases.

Mwasalat Taxi operates around 150,000 trips, with an average of more than 700 trips a day.

Around 40,000 users have installed Mwasalat’s taxi application till now.
