22,021 students complete registration process: Higher Education Admission Center

-

The Higher Education Admission Center (HEAC) has finished receiving applications of students. The last date for receiving the applications was September 18.

According to the HEAC, 22,629 seats were offered in the first and second sorting process of which 22,021 students accepted the offer and completed the registration procedures. Of these, 9,743 comprised males while 12,278 were females.

Dr Hamad bin Khalfan al Numani, director general of HEAC said, “The centre is offering students a chance to change their choice of subjects till September 24. This will give students who have misstated their choices a second go to compete for a programme lower than the programme offered to them, provided their scores are higher than the last student who was accepted and there is a vacancy.”

Dr Numani added that from October 18 to 21, those students will be requested to reclaim seats who have either withdrawn their application or failed to complete the registration process within the specified period. “We will announce the number of seats not claimed on October 25. If the request for reclaiming is not approved and the student has not completed the registration procedures his right to claim a seat will be dropped again.”

The second round will consider students who haven’t got their certificates. The centre will consider such applications once their final results have been issued. The centre urges students to adhere to the deadline and follow its website and social media accounts for any updates.
