H E Gen Nu’amani visits field commands to review exercises
He was briefed on the role of the armoured corps at the two exercises as well as their operational duties and assignments
Muscat - H E Gen Sultan bin Mohammed al Nu’amani, Minister of Royal Office, visited the field commands at the land operations theatre on Monday.
The visit included the Command of Mudarraat Sultan Oman (the Sultan of Oman Armours), the Command of the 23rd Infantry Brigade and the Command of the Sultan’s Special Forces (SSF) taking part in Al Shomoukh 2 and Swift Sword 3.
On the arrival to the Field Command of the Sultan of Oman Armours, the Minister of Royal Office was received by Brig Khalifa bin Zahir al Sabri, Commander of the Sultan of Oman Armoured Corps.
H E Gen Nu’amani was briefed on the roles of the armoured corps at the two exer- cises, as well as the operational duties and assignments that were carried out in the land operations theatre.
He also visited the field command of the 23rd Infantry Brigade and was received by Brig Abdullah bin Mohammed al Shraiqi, Commander of the 23rd Infantry Brigade. He was briefed on the plans and preparations for the subsequent stages of the two exercises, as well as the measures that will be taken to address the hypothetical hindrances.
H E Gen Nu’amani also visited the field command of SSF and was received by Maj Gen A’mer bin Salim al Amri, Commander of SSF. He was briefed on the roles played by the SSF in the national exercises Al Shomoukh 2 and Swift Sword 3.
