West Indies coach Law banned for two ODIs

-

West Indies coach Stuart Law will miss his team's two upcoming one-day internationals against India after a breach of the ICC code of conduct saw him banned by world cricket's ruling body on Tuesday. The Australian was found guilty of breaching the code during Sunday's play in the Hyderabad Test by making "inappropriate comments" to the umpires. Those comments followed the dismissal of Kieran Powell, after which Law "went to the TV umpire's room and made inappropriate comments. He then walked to the fourth umpire's area and, in the presence of the players, again directed inappropriate comments at the fourth official". Law will now miss the October 21 and 24 ODIs against India in Guwahati and Visakhapatnam, respectively.

Sri Lanka’s Perera out of England ODIs; Dawson goes home

Sri Lanka's middle order batsman Kusal Perera will skip the three remaining oneday matches against England, while visiting all-rounder Liam Dawson has been ruled out of the entire tournament, officials said. Dawson strained his right side while bowling during England's Saturday win, the England and Wales Cricket Board (ECB) said Monday. The top order batsman and leg-spinner has been ruled out of the rest of the tour. He has been replaced by Joe Denly, who is in England's Test squad.
