OCCI organises Invest in France Forum
Muscat - Oman Chamber of Commerce and Industry (OCCI), in cooperation with the French Embassy in Oman organised Invest in France Forum on Tuesday to review investment opportunities available in France.
The forum also discussed the means of enhancing economic and investment partnerships between Omani private sector and its French counterpart.
While addressing the gathering, Qais bin Mohammed al Yousef, OCCI chairman, said that the forum seeks to open horizons to the Omani private sector, identify the available in- vestment opportunities and seek to explore economic and investment partnerships. He said that the next meeting will introduce French investors to the available investment opportunities in the sultanate.
He hailed the deep rooted relations between the sultanate and France and said there are many opportunities for businessmen and businesswomen from both sides to develop reciprocal trade and investment. Yousef said that the value of the Oman’s imports from France stood at RO98mn and the value of exports to France stood at RO9mn.
H E Renaud Salins, French Ambassador to Oman, stressed the importance of economic cooperation between Oman and France. He pointed out that the meetings and forums contribute directly in enhancing cooperation and trade between Omani and French sides and improve the trade exchange between two countries.
The forum included working papers on investment in France including Omantel’s successful investment experience in Marseille, France.
