GCC- Stat holds second meeting

Muscat - The GCC Statistical Center (GCC-Stat) held its second meeting this year attended by more than 15 institutions and organisations from the Gulf region. The meeting was chaired by Saber bin Said al Harbi, director general of GCC-Stat

At the meeting, a presentation was made on the goals and objectives of the joint strategic plan for the 2015-20 period adopted by the Ministerial Council, as well as the achievements of the centre in 2018, besides its future aspirations. The meeting reviewed the follow-up report of the recommendations of the first meeting held in July. It also reviewed the adoption of decisions to form a technical statistical committee, exchange statistics among the Gulf institutions and discussed prospects for future cooperation between them.
