MoCI urges industrial firms to submit data by November 7

-

The Ministry of Commerce and Industry (MoCI) has urged all industrial establishments operating inside and outside industrial estates, ports, and free zones to submit the required data for the industrial survey.

Data can be submitted either through Invest Easy portal ( www. business. gov. om/ statsurvey) or MoCI’s website (www.moci.gov.om) latest by November 7, a statement by MoCI said.

Transactions of companies that haven’t submitted the data will be put on hold, MoCI stated

adding that, non-cooperation will amount to violation of the Unified Industrial Regulations Law and its accompanying Executive Regulations issued by Royal

Decree 61/2008.

Conducted in cooperation with the National Centre for Statistics and Information (NCSI), the industrial survey aims at digitalising all survey stages to pro

vide an integrated access to all industrial data and information in order to have accurate monitoring and evaluation of the Industrial Strategy 2040.

MoCI also highlighted that the digital system contributes to simplifying preparation works and linking all industrial statistics to the Key Performance Indicators (KPIs).

According to the Industrial Statistics Department, at MoCI, the e-system is a reference point for evaluating the performance of the industrial establishments in Oman.

All participating establishments will benefit from submitting the industrial statistics, the MoCI stated.

The design of the e-system of the industrial statistics is in line with the United Nations Industrial Development Organization’s statistical framework to have all of Oman’s industrial statistics in match with the other countries’ statistics.

Transactions of companies that haven’t submitted the data will be put on hold and non-cooperation will be violation of the law
