BDO Oman names new partners
Muscat – The global professional services firm BDO in Oman has announced the appointments of Manvinder Singh as an audit partner and Ashish Athavale as the tax partner to enhance audit and tax services in the sultanate.
BDO is one of the largest multinational professional services firm, having 1,591 offices in 162 countries employing more than 80,000 staff with global revenue of approximately US$9bn in 2018.
Bipin Kapur, managing partner of BDO Oman, said in a press release, “I am glad to announce these appointments, thereby demonstrating BDO’s continued commitment in increasing personal involvement and exceptional service to all our existing and new clients.”
Singh has over 20 years of experience in audit and related services out of which over 14 years is with a major audit firm in Oman. He has led the audit and limited reviews of listed banks, leasing and finance, automotive, construction and real estate, retail, manufacturing and service sector clients.
Athavale is a qualified lawyer and company secretary from India and has a MBA (taxation) from the US. He has over 12 years of experience specialising in assisting clients in areas of tax advisory, compliance and litigation support with accounting firms in India and the United States.
Prior to joining BDO in Oman, Athavale worked with BDO in India specialising in indirect taxes. He has managed engagements across industry verticals like contracting/real estate, defence, FMCG, hospitality, etc.
