Vale Oman wins two prestigious awards from Dubai Quality Group
Sohar – Vale Oman won two prestigious awards for its Continuous Improvement Program ‘Tahseen’ last week at the 11th Global Continuous Improvement and Innovation Symposium and Awards in Dubai.
This achievement is a significant milestone for Vale Oman in its strategic commitment toward deployment of Continuous Improvement ‘Tahseen’, the company said in a press release.
Vale Oman was named in two categories of Continuous Improvement Awards: First place for Lean Six Sigma in Manufacturing Sector Award and second place for Happiness Award. Vale’s Continuous Improvement Team has presented these projects and competed for the awards among other regional private and governmental organisations in the UAE to be the first Omani organisation that has been awarded by Dubai Quality Group.
The award and symposium was organised by Dubai Quality
Group through its sub-group of Continual Improvement and Innovation. It rewards the implementers of Continuous Improvement initiatives who improve different business process in either government or private sectors. The award is consisted of five different categories which are Kaizen, Happiness, Innovation, Lean Six Sigma and Best Practice Management.
