Sayyid Asaad meets health min­is­ters, WHO of­fi­cials

Mus­cat - Sayyid Asaad bin Tariq al Said, Deputy Prime Min­is­ter for In­ter­na­tional Re­la­tions and Co­op­er­a­tion Af­fairs, and Per­sonal Rep­re­sen­ta­tive of His Majesty the Sul­tan, re­ceived in his of­fice on Tues­day, min­is­ters of health, Dr Ahmed bin Salim al Mand­hari, the re­gional di­rec­tor of World Health Or­ga­ni­za­tion Eastern Mediter­ranean Re­gion, and Ak­je­mal Mag­ty­mova, WHO Rep­re­sen­ta­tive in Oman.

They are tak­ing part in the WHO Global Meet­ing for Non Com­mu­ni­ca­ble Dis­eases and Men­tal Health.

The meet­ing re­viewed ex­ist­ing co­op­er­a­tion among all in­ter­na­tional health in­sti­tu­tions. The meet­ing was at­tended by Dr Mo­hammed bin Saif al Hosni, Un­der­sec­re­tary for Health Af­fairs in the Min­istry of Health (MoH), Dr Ali bin Talib al Hi­nai, Un­der­sec­re­tary for Plan­ning Af­fairs in MoH, sec­re­tary gen­eral and the two ad­vi­sors at the of­fice of Sayyid Asaad.

Sayyid Asaad also re­ceived in his of­fice Jose An­to­nio Bordallo, Am­bas­sador of Spain to Oman, to bid him farewell at the end of tour of duty.

The am­bas­sador thanked His Majesty the Sul­tan, Omani gov­ern­ment and the peo­ple for the sup­port ex­tended.

He wished His Majesty the Sul­tan good health, hap­pi­ness and a long life, and the sul­tanate progress un­der his lead­er­ship.

On his turn, Sayyid Asaad thanked the am­bas­sador for the ef­forts ex­erted in serv­ing the re­la­tions be­tween the two coun­tries, wish­ing him per­ma­nent suc­cess, and the friendly Span­ish peo­ple fur­ther progress and pros­per­ity.

The meet­ing was at­tended by the sec­re­tary gen­eral and the two ad­vi­sors at the of­fice of Sayyid Asaad.
