Sayyid Asaad meets health ministers, WHO officials
Muscat - Sayyid Asaad bin Tariq al Said, Deputy Prime Minister for International Relations and Cooperation Affairs, and Personal Representative of His Majesty the Sultan, received in his office on Tuesday, ministers of health, Dr Ahmed bin Salim al Mandhari, the regional director of World Health Organization Eastern Mediterranean Region, and Akjemal Magtymova, WHO Representative in Oman.
They are taking part in the WHO Global Meeting for Non Communicable Diseases and Mental Health.
The meeting reviewed existing cooperation among all international health institutions. The meeting was attended by Dr Mohammed bin Saif al Hosni, Undersecretary for Health Affairs in the Ministry of Health (MoH), Dr Ali bin Talib al Hinai, Undersecretary for Planning Affairs in MoH, secretary general and the two advisors at the office of Sayyid Asaad.
Sayyid Asaad also received in his office Jose Antonio Bordallo, Ambassador of Spain to Oman, to bid him farewell at the end of tour of duty.
The ambassador thanked His Majesty the Sultan, Omani government and the people for the support extended.
He wished His Majesty the Sultan good health, happiness and a long life, and the sultanate progress under his leadership.
On his turn, Sayyid Asaad thanked the ambassador for the efforts exerted in serving the relations between the two countries, wishing him permanent success, and the friendly Spanish people further progress and prosperity.
The meeting was attended by the secretary general and the two advisors at the office of Sayyid Asaad.
