Mus­cat teacher to com­pete in beauty pageant fi­nals

Shailla Khan, a spe­cial needs teacher from Mus­cat will com­pete at the fi­nals of Jeeo King and Queen 2019 (un­der the Mrs In­dia In­ter­na­tional cat­e­gory) that is sched­uled to take place in Kolkata on De­cem­ber 14.

Shailla was se­lected from con­tes­tants from all over In­dia in the semi­fi­nals that took place in Dubai on De­cem­ber 6 and 7.

A res­i­dent of Mus­cat for the last two years, Shailla is a mother of three chil­dren. At the Jeeo Pageant in the semi­fi­nals, she trained and groomed un­der Liza Verma , Shaini Soni and Dr Varun Katiyal.

Shailla said, “The pageant has given me a plat­form and op­por­tu­nity to speak on a va­ri­ety of is­sues and pri­mar­ily emo­tional abuse in re­la­tion­ships. I wish to win the Mrs In­dia In­ter­na­tional pageant ti­tle. It will be a great hon­our and pride to win this ti­tle. I plan to spend more time in so­cial wel­fare ac­tiv­i­ties.”

Shailla also wants other women to dream big. “My aim is to make the world a bet­ter place. My suc­cess would not have been pos­si­ble with­out the sup­port of my hus­band Mo­hammed Shah­nawaz Khan. He has been the con­stant driv­ing force to re­alise my po­ten­tial.”
