Military Technological College holds graduation event
Muscat - The Military Technological College (MTC) on Tuesday held the graduation of the second batch of holders of bachelor’s degrees and the third batch of holders of advanced diploma certificates, under the patronage of H E Sayyid Badr bin Saud bin Harib al Busaidi, Minister Responsible for Defence Affairs.
The ceremony started with recitations from the Holy Q’uran, followed by a speech of Air Vice Marshal Matar bin Ali al
Obaidani, Commander of the Royal Air Force of Oman and Chairman of the College’s Board of Directors.
Air Vice Marshal Obaidani said that the Military Technological College embodies a professionally run technical college.
He said this year the college is proud of achievements in academic fields including receiving funding from The Research Council for student projects and the college’s participation in the
Oman Science Festival.
H E Sayyid Badr distributed prizes to outstanding students and handed over certificates to graduates of various disciplines, including bachelor’s degrees and advanced diploma.
He also handed over the master’s degrees to the employees of the college who had graduated from Portsmouth University.
At the end of the ceremony, the graduates sang the college’s anthem, chanted the oath of loyalty and proclaimed thrice Long Live His Majesty Sultan Qaboos bin Said, the Supreme Commander of the Armed Forces.
The graduation ceremony was attended by their excellencies, commanders of the Sultan’s Armed Forces and other military and security apparatuses, members of the State Council and Majlis A’Shura, senior officers of the Sultan’s Armed Forces and parents of the graduates.
