-

Muscat - Oman Aviation Group has been certified with the ISO 9001:2015 – one of the leading international standards for measuring performance in organisations.

The ISO standards are a globally valued measure for quality management. Organisations must meet rigorous criteria in order to be recognised.

Mustafa al Hinai, CEO of Oman Aviation Group, said, “This is the gold standard of quality management. The fact that we have achieved it as an organisation not yet two years old proves that the Omani aviation sector is constantly striving for excellence. We look forward to ensuring the standards of our work remain industry-leading.”

Oman Aviation Group received a certificate approved by the United Kingdom Accreditation Service certifying that the aviation organisation has qualified for the ‘provision of services support and strategic direction activities in the aviation sector of the Sultanate of Oman’.

The areas for which Oman Aviation Group is certified include sector development and promotion; asset management; project development; business support technology and cyber risk; finance; strategic planning; and governance, risk management, and regulatory compliance.

Some of the benefits of ISO 9001:2015 include improvements in efficiency and cost savings, enhanced customer satisfaction, improved evidencebased decision making, and an ongoing culture of engagement with employees.

Established in February 2018, Oman Aviation Group is an economic catalyst tasked with empowering the sultanate’s aviation sector and enabling the tourism and logistics sectors with the aim of stimulating economic revitalisation, development and growth.

Comprising core business units Oman Air, Oman Airports and Oman Aviation Services, the group works diligently towards building an integrated aviation supercentre to lead Omani national aviation interests into the future. As Oman’s strategic aviation sector developer, this synergistic approach to economic revitalisation includes the development of airport cities and free zones as well as an ongoing route network expansion of its premium flagship airline to attract more international visitors to Oman and meet the sultanate’s 25-year National Tourism Strategy objectives.
