Middle East College organises GFP Fest
Middle East College (MEC) organised its fourth GFP Fest 2019, at the Student Hub, Knowledge Oasis Muscat.
The event was held in the presence of Dr Kiran G R, dean, MEC, associate deans, MEC staff and students.
The event provides students in General Foundation Programme with a platform for showcasing their skills in presentation and communication.
Dr Samia Naqvi, head of Centre for Foundation Studies at MEC, expressed the importance of such events and activities in enhancing the educational experience of the students in the higher education sector.
She declared, “The GFP Fest is organised by the Center for Foundation Studies at Middle East College to provide a platform to General Foundation Programme students to showcase their talents by engaging them in various co-curricular activities and competitions.”
She added, “Major highlights of the fest include Nations’ Gallery, Video making completion on Middle East College Learner Attributes, Anti-Plagiarism Poster Design Competition, Math Brain Teasers Competition and Hardware Assembly Competition.”
Middle East College organises various extracurricular and cocurricular activities and events throughout the year to encourage the students to be active and to enhance their knowledge and skills.
The college adopts the latest teaching and learning mechanisms to provide students with the best educational experiences.
