Bangladesh School Muscat cel­e­brates 49th Vic­tory Day with ac­tiv­i­ties

On the oc­ca­sion of 49th Vic­tory Day of Bangladesh, Bangladesh School Muscat cel­e­brated the day in a be­fit­ting man­ner.

A gen­eral as­sem­bly was con­ducted at 7.20pm in which Na­tional An­thems of Oman and Bangladesh were sung by the School Choir.

Prin­ci­pal Farzana Karim de­liv­ered a speech on the sig­nif­i­cance of the Vic­tory Day, re­call­ing the sac­ri­fices of the mar­tyrs dur­ing the lib­er­a­tion war. Dr Sa­j­jad Hu­sain Chowd­hury, chair­man – Board of Di­rec­tors, and the rest of the BoD mem­bers and the par­ents were present dur­ing the as­sem­bly.

Var­i­ous lit­er­ary and art com­pe­ti­tions were also held as a part of the cel­e­bra­tion.

Colour­ing Com­pe­ti­tion (RecII), and lit­er­ary com­pe­ti­tions such as Bangla Story Telling Com­pe­ti­tion, (III&IV), Bangla Es­say Writ­ing Com­pe­ti­tion (V&VI and IX&X) and English Es­say Writ­ing Com­pe­ti­tion (VI&VIII and XI&XII) in ad­di­tion to Art Com­pe­ti­tions for Class

I-IV were held as part of the event.

Vic­to­ri­ous stu­dents were given medals and cer­tifi­cates in the An­nual Prize distri­bu­tion cer­e­mony held on De­cem­ber 17.

An In­ter-House Foot­ball Tour­na­ment was also con­ducted and medals and tro­phies were given to win­ners.
