Pak­istan So­cial Club cel­e­brates Quaid’s day and wel­comes new am­bas­sador

Pak­istan So­cial Club cel­e­brated the 143rd birth an­niver­sary of Quaid-e-Azam Mo­ham­mad Ali Jin­nah and wel­comed the new Am­bas­sador to the Sul­tanate of Oman H E K K Ah­san Wa­gan at Crowne Plaza Muscat.

The chair­man of Pak­istan So­cial Club Mian Mo­ham­mad Muneer re­ceived the guest along with di­rec­tors of Pak­istan So­cial Club. The pro­gramme started with the recita­tion of the Q’uran by Hafiz Tamim Tahir fol­lowed by a ha­mad by Khalid Mah­boob.

Vice chair­man of Pak­istan So­cial Club Shabir Ahmed Nadeem wel­comed the guests and de­scribed the strug­gle of Quaid for an in­de­pen­dent coun­try.

Doc­u­men­taries on Quaid’s mes­sage and the pre­vi­ous ten­ure of H E K K Wa­gan in Oman were pre­sented by the IT Wing of Pak­istan So­cial Club, headed by the di­rec­tor IT Wing Kashif Ah­mad Zeam, fol­lowed by a na­tional song per­formed by Asif Raza Sul­tani. Ki­ran Ak­bar, head of Chan­cellery Pak­istan Em­bassy gave a brief in­tro­duc­tion about the new am­bas­sador and de­scribed his achieve­ments in dif­fer­ent coun­tries.

H E Wa­gan thanked the Pak­istan So­cial Club for ar­rang­ing such a beau­ti­ful event and pro­vid­ing him the op­por­tu­nity to in­ter­act with the com­mu­nity. He ex­pressed his grat­i­tude to Quaid-e-Azam and em­pha­sised to fol­low his ide­olo­gies - Unity, faith and hard work - to achieve the goals of suc­cess. He also thanked His Majesty Sul­tan Qa­boos bin Said and the gov­ern­ment for pro­vid­ing op­por­tu­ni­ties to the com­mu­ni­ties in Oman to work freely.

The pro­gramme was con­cluded by a cake cut­ting cer­e­mony fol­lowed by a din­ner af­ter which ev­ery­one prayed for the con­tin­u­ous de­vel­op­ment of Oman and for the health and long life of His Majesty Sul­tan Qa­boos bin Said.

The gen­eral sec­re­tary Zeam Akhtar thanked di­rec­tors of Pak­istan So­cial Cub Mo­ham­mad Ab­bas, Mo­ham­mad Ali Fazal, Qmar Riaz, As­ghar Ali and Kaleem Akhtar for their sup­port in or­gan­is­ing the event.
