Heavy rain expected in Oman from tomorrow
Low pressure will lead to heavy rainfall in several parts of the sultanate starting from Thursday till Sunday, according to the National Multi Hazard Early Warning Center of the Public Authority for Civil Aviation.
The authority stated that there are chances of showers with varying intensity and occasional thundershowers starting from Thursday night affecting Musandam governorate. ‘This weather phenomenon will extend on Friday to affect Buraimi, North and South Batinah, Dhahirah, Muscat, Dakhliyah, North and South Sharqiyah.’
Sea state will be moderate to rough along most of the sultanate coasts with wave height between 1.5 and 2.5m.
The Public Authority for Civil Aviation has advised all to take precaution during rain and not to cross wadis and check the sea state before sailing. ‘Follow our weather bulletins to get latest updates,’ the authority said.
